Position Overview
The Controls Engineer will join a project team focused on delivering automation solutions to industrial clients. Key responsibilities include:
Designing, developing, and documenting systems that meet customer specifications.
Leading project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Collaborating with customers on-site and remotely to present work and develop creative solutions.
Traveling to client facilities to implement and test control systems.
Meeting with project managers, subject matter experts, and business leaders to monitor project status and strategize for successful outcomes.
Mentoring junior engineers in control systems concepts and project methodologies.
This role offers professional growth opportunities into senior leadership, technical specialization, project management, and business development.
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Preferred Skills & Experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience with control systems in manufacturing environments.
Proficiency with PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and MES technologies.
Solid understanding of process control and manufacturing workflows.
Demonstrated success in delivering end-to-end projects.
Ability to manage a project through its full lifecycle.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with standard business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Professional demeanor and collaborative work style.
Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to comply with drug screening and background check requirements as necessary for employment or client contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
Certifications from relevant industry technology partners.
