HVAC Controls Specialist (Niagara/BAS)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Specialist with strong expertise in Tridium Niagara systems to join a growing building automation team based in Western Massachusetts. This is a field-focused role, primarily working onsite at customer facilities to deliver, commission, and support Building Automation Systems (BAS).
You will play a key role in ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably, working hands-on with control systems in commercial and institutional environments.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and support HVAC control systems using Niagara (N4/AX) platforms
Commission and troubleshoot BAS systems onsite, ensuring proper performance and functionality
Develop and modify:
Control logic
Points databases
Graphics and user interfaces
Sequences of operation
Diagnose issues across controllers, field devices, and network communications
Support integration of HVAC systems with other building systems (lighting, metering, etc.)
Work closely with engineering, construction, and client teams during project execution
Perform system testing, validation, and optimization onsite
Provide technical support and training to clients during project handover
Document system changes, service activities, and as-built conditions
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in HVAC controls or Building Automation Systems
Strong hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara (N4 or AX)
Solid understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
Experience with BAS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently onsite
Preferred
Experience in commissioning and system startup
Background working for a controls contractor or systems integrator
Familiarity with Niagara graphics and front-end development
Exposure to commercial, healthcare, or education environments
Basic knowledge of IP networking and system integration
