About the Role
We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Designer to join a dynamic and expanding MEP consulting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to work on high-impact commercial projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in electrical engineering, a passion for design excellence, and a commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.

What You'll Do
As an Electrical Designer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems for a variety of commercial buildings. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for commercial facilities.
  • Preparing detailed construction documents, specifications, and layouts using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Coordinating with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
  • Conducting site visits and assessments to support design development and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Reviewing and applying relevant codes, standards, and regulations to ensure safety and performance.
  • Participating in project meetings and contributing to design discussions and problem-solving efforts.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within the commercial sector.
  • EIT certification or PE licensure (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, IECC, and other applicable codes and standards.
