As an Automation Engineer, you'll leverage your technical expertise to design and implement software solutions that seamlessly integrate with and control hardware systems. This role offers a balance of independent work and cross-functional collaboration, including client interaction, project coordination, and building long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop applications following industry standards and best practices to exceed client expectations.
- Commission and troubleshoot automation solutions at customer sites (domestic and international travel required).
- Work with leading industrial platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, and Ignition.
- Stay current with emerging technologies while gaining exposure to sales, business development, and project processes.
- Contribute to system architecture design and execute engineering tasks across all project phases.
- Lead multiple projects, manage client relationships, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Mentor and guide new team members, fostering technical growth.
- Communicate deliverables effectively and maintain strong customer relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or related field).
- Strong programming skills, including text-based languages and object-oriented concepts.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex systems.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and working directly with clients.
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems (PLCs, Motion Control, Process Control, HMI, SCADA, Robotics, Machine Vision, etc.).
- Interest in working across diverse industries.
- Leadership or mentoring experience in technical project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal development.
- Willingness to travel 10%-20%.
