Forensic Structural Engineer

They boast specialists with expertise in Structural Engineering, Leak/Condition Assessments, Roofing & Waterproofing and more. The company is equipped with a comprehensive testing facility and laboratory used to investigate aspects of failure analysis and accident reconstruction.
Position Overview: As a Structural Engineer, you will oversee commercial and multi-family structural repair and restoration projects. Building system types include, but not limited to, steel, concrete, masonry, wood, roofing and building envelopes. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to diagnose and restore large structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective remediation strategies.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to identify potential issues and hazards.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.
- Communicate progress and resolve issues with clients.
- Conduct structural engineering analysis and design.
- Support the evaluation phase, including field reviews, report writing, developing repair options, and construction cost estimates.
- Provide testimony of findings at deposition or trial
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated growth.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina.
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent people management skills and a customer service focus.
