Role Overview
As the Head of Land Acquisition, you will lead and manage the company's land acquisition strategy and team, ensuring a robust pipeline of suitable land for renewable energy projects. You will play a critical role in identifying, negotiating, and securing land rights, while fostering strong relationships with landowners, municipalities, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive land acquisition strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of regional land acquisition managers and field agents.
- Identify and evaluate potential land parcels for wind and solar energy projects.
- Negotiate lease and purchase agreements with landowners and their representatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, communities, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project development, legal, and technical teams.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity in the region.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) in land acquisition, real estate, or project development, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of land use regulations and permitting processes in Germany.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently within the region.
- Degree in Real Estate, Law, Environmental Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
