IT/OT Automation/Network Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Write efficient, elegant code based on detailed requirements

  • Use version control systems like Git and follow CI/CD practices

  • Develop, test, deploy, and enhance applications

  • Troubleshoot and debug existing software and systems

  • Analyze user feedback to guide performance improvements

  • Produce technical documentation for software development projects

  • Apply solid database skills in SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, and Oracle

  • Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Maintain and troubleshoot firewalls, distribution switches, load balancers, and fiber/copper SFPs

  • Install and configure computer network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cabling

  • Create and manage firewall rules, VLANs, VPNs, and security protocols

  • Monitor and optimize network performance

  • Handle business continuity and disaster recovery procedures

  • Prepare precise documentation related to validation efforts (URS, FAT, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ)

  • Troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation equipment including Rockwell/Siemens PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Remote I/O, SCADA systems, and industrial gateways/switches


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience with SAP and SAP APIs

  • Proficiency in C++ and C#.NET

  • Strong grasp of software development and networking principles

  • Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCST, CCCA

  • Hands-on experience with Rockwell and Siemens automation systems

  • Experience in regulated environments (FDA) and validation documentation

  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

  • Work required in Newark, DE
