A leading deep foundations and concrete contractor in New York is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside an experienced Senior Estimator, gain exposure to major residential and commercial projects, and build a long-term career within a business that actively promotes from within.

The Opportunity

You'll receive hands-on mentorship and training while supporting the estimating function across a range of high-rise, commercial, residential, foundation and concrete projects throughout New York. The business is looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn rather than extensive experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
Review drawings, specifications and project documentation
Support bid preparation and tender submissions
Collaborate with operations, project management and estimating teams
Conduct site visits to gain practical project understanding
Learn foundation, concrete, geotechnical and construction estimating methodologies
Develop into a fully-fledged Estimator through structured mentoring

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline preferred
Internship experience or up to 3 years' experience within construction, estimating or project delivery
Interest in foundations, concrete, civil construction or geotechnical work
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Based within a reasonable commute of the New York area
