The Role
As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in both restoration and new construction projects, working closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include:
Structural design and analysis of residential and commercial buildings.
Preparing drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Collaborating with project managers and senior engineers on diverse projects.
Coordinating design details with architectural and MEP teams.
Conducting site visits, inspections, and supporting construction administration.
Ensuring compliance with NYC building codes, local laws, and industry standards.
Candidate Profile
3-5 years of structural engineering experience in New York City (required).
- On track to gain PE License in NYC
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
Experience with the design of residential or commercial structures.
Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry design.
Familiarity with NYC building codes and filing requirements.
Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, RISA, RAM, or ETABS.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
