Estimator - Commercial Construction (Charlotte, NC)

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Estimator to support commercial construction projects within the Charlotte market. This role is responsible for producing accurate quantity take‑offs, analyzing project documentation, and assisting in the development of competitive bids across mechanical, plumbing, piping, and HVAC scopes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed quantity take‑offs from blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Support the preparation of competitive bids and proposals for commercial construction projects.
  • Verify and analyze bid package components, including fixtures, equipment, specifications, and submittals.
  • Follow established estimating procedures to ensure accurate and complete proposals.
  • Gather and organize cost data to support pricing analysis.
  • Resolve discrepancies through careful plan review, documentation analysis, and communication.
  • Meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Use and learn relevant estimating software and digital take‑off tools.
  • Collaborate effectively within the estimating team and work independently when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of estimating principles, construction fundamentals, and blueprint reading.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and openness to learning additional software.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
