Overview
LVI Associates is partnered with a highly regarded professional services firm to appoint a Managing Director to lead and grow its Forensic, Litigation & Valuation practice in Texas. This is a senior role for a proven expert with deep technical credibility and a strong market profile in disputes, investigations, valuation, and expert testimony.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving strategic growth, leading complex client engagements, and mentoring senior professionals, while strengthening the firm's market presence across contentious matters.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership to the Forensic, Litigation & Valuation practice, including growth planning, service line development, and market positioning.
- Act as a senior ambassador for the firm, enhancing brand recognition across legal, corporate, and financial sponsor communities.
Client & Market Development
- Originate and lead high-value engagements across litigation support, expert witness services, forensic accounting, investigations, and valuation.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with law firms, corporates, financial institutions, and regulators.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with other advisory practices globally.
Expert & Technical Leadership
- Serve as an expert witness or senior advisor in complex disputes, arbitrations, and investigations.
- Provide oversight and quality assurance on complex valuation, damages, and forensic analyses.
- Stay at the forefront of technical, regulatory, and market developments impacting contentious advisory services.
People & Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior professionals and future leaders within the practice.
- Play an active role in recruitment, succession planning, and performance management.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and inclusive culture.
Operational & Commercial Oversight
- Own P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, margin management, and pricing strategy.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, commercially sound engagements in line with the firm's risk and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Senior leader (Partner / Managing Director / Principal) from a forensic accounting, valuation, or disputes advisory background.
- Extensive experience in forensic investigations, litigation support, expert witness testimony, and valuation.
- Established market reputation with a demonstrable book of business and strong referral network. (Minimum $1million in Origination)
- Proven track record of practice growth, revenue generation, and team leadership.
- Experience acting as an expert witness or supporting expert testimony in court, arbitration, or regulatory proceedings is highly desirable.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, ASA, or equivalent preferred.
- Commercially astute, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating at Board and C-suite level.
