Mid to Senior Hydrogeologist
A growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Hydrogeologist to support water resources projects across the Southwest. This role focuses on technical project execution, coordination, and mentorship, with exposure to a diverse portfolio of groundwater-focused work.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Technical Delivery
- Manage hydrogeologic and water resources projects from planning through completion
- Develop and oversee scopes of work, budgets, and project schedules
- Coordinate with senior leadership on contract review and project execution
- Lead multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality and timelines
- Address complex technical challenges through independent and collaborative problem-solving
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
Client Engagement & Business Support
- Build and maintain relationships with public, private, and industrial clients
- Support proposal development, including scopes and technical approaches
- Work with clients to define project objectives and deliver practical, data-driven solutions
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Provide technical oversight and quality review of deliverables
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their technical development
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment
- Support onboarding and integration of new team members
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in hydrogeology and/or water resources
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Professional Geologist (PG/RG) licensure in Arizona or ability to obtain
- Experience with groundwater evaluations, well siting/design, and aquifer systems
- Familiarity with tools such as MODFLOW, Leapfrog, AqteSolv, and ArcGIS
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to support fieldwork as needed
