Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in commercial HVAC and mechanical construction. The ideal candidate enjoys the challenge of unique designs, complex projects, and tight deadlines. You'll manage both large and small jobs, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and provide leadership to project engineers while partnering with field staff to ensure successful project delivery.

You'll be responsible for managing project milestones and coordinating resource requirements. A high level of judgment and autonomy is essential, along with a willingness to learn company-specific processes and contribute your own expertise. You should be comfortable executing all levels of project management activities and thrive in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support one large project or multiple projects alongside senior project managers and engineers
  • Collaborate with craftspeople, foremen, and clients
  • Plan mechanical projects from start to finish, managing all moving parts
  • Apply LEAN principles and align project delivery with client expectations
  • Manage project financials and ensure budget adherence
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Mentor junior staff and support their professional development

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, mechanical, and piping
  • Passion for planning, innovation, and process improvement
  • Ability to lead teams in applying innovative construction and prefabrication strategies
  • Proven experience managing mechanical construction projects
  • High accountability and initiative
  • Creative problem-solving skills and field experience
  • Strong leadership, business acumen, and integrity
  • Financial forecasting and budget management skills
  • Effective collaboration with field teams and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing multiple MEP projects at a mechanical/electrical/plumbing firm
  • Design/Build and IPD project experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Lean Construction tools (preferred)
  • Experience in data centers, federal, industrial, or healthcare projects (preferred)
