Principal Process Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced engineering professional to lead the technical evaluation and design of advanced water treatment processes, with a particular focus on ultraviolet (UV) and UV advanced oxidation processes (UVAOP). This role involves guiding projects from conceptual design through commissioning and ongoing operational support, particularly in industrial reuse and potable water applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical assessment and selection of advanced water treatment technologies, especially UV and UVAOP, through the basis of design phase.
- Drive innovation in process design and contribute to the development of new technical approaches.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transition from conceptual to detailed design.
- Oversee and execute startup and commissioning plans for advanced treatment systems.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and operational support post-commissioning.
- Make strategic engineering decisions with significant impact on project outcomes and organizational direction.
- Represent the organization in professional circles through technical presentations, committee participation, and publication of technical resources.
- Travel as needed to support project and client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting with a strong emphasis on UV and UVAOP technologies.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Proven ability to solve complex engineering challenges with innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Comfortable with public speaking and technical presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning and startup of advanced treatment systems.
- Recognized contributor to industry knowledge through published manuals or frequent conference presentations on UV and UVAOP topics.
Compensation
Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000 annually
This range reflects the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual salary may vary based on education, experience, location, and other business considerations.
