Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specialising in commercial roofing to oversee the successful delivery of new construction and re‑roofing projects across the commercial sector. This role requires deep technical roofing knowledge, strong site leadership, and confident client‑facing capability.
The Project Manager will take full ownership of assigned projects from pre‑construction through close‑out, coordinating office staff, field crews, and subcontractors while maintaining strict control of safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial roofing projects from pre‑construction through final completion
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, consultants, and suppliers
- Oversee new construction and re‑roofing projects, including live occupied sites
- Plan and manage labour, materials, access, staging, and sequencing of works
- Lead and coordinate site supervisors, foremen, field crews, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications
- Drive project schedules and proactively resolve delays or conflicts
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress meetings
- Manage technical issues related to roofing systems and details
- Coordinate closely with office teams on procurement, scheduling, and documentation
- Track project performance, variations, and reporting requirements
Technical Experience Requirements (Essential)
Candidates must have strong, hands‑on experience managing commercial roofing projects, including:
- Single‑ply roofing systems, specifically TPO and PVC installation
- Experience with new construction roofing projects
- Experience with re‑roofing and replacement projects, including tear‑offs and phased works
- Understanding of roof assemblies, insulation, vapor barriers, and fastening systems
- Knowledge of manufacturer requirements, warranties, and installation standards
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, and submittals related to roofing scopes
- Experience coordinating roofing works with other trades on commercial sites
Personality & Behavioural Requirements (Essential)

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial roofing
- Strong technical knowledge of roofing systems and site execution
- Experience working with general contractors and commercial clients
- Excellent understanding of health & safety requirements in roofing
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
