Project Manager - Mission Critical

A well-established general contractor operating throughout the Midwest is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects. This is a strategic leadership role for a professional with deep industry knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality public and private sector work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full life-cycle of large-scale mission critical projects.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
  • Lead subcontractor management and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Mentor project engineers and junior staff to support team development.
  • Drive project profitability and client satisfaction through proactive leadership.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mission critical project management.
  • Proven success managing infrastructure projects such as data centers, power plants, public safety facilities, or site development.
  • Experience with public works, municipal contracts, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong background in field operations, estimating, and scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in project management and estimating software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, HCSS).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
