Position Summary

This role leads the execution of capital projects at the LNG Terminal, overseeing the full lifecycle from contract strategy development through to project handover. The incumbent will manage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts and lead a multidisciplinary team, acting as the Owner's representative. The role demands extensive project management experience, particularly in large-scale EPC projects within the Oil & Gas sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for the successful delivery of assigned capital projects.
  • Represent the firm in managing EPC contractors to ensure alignment with HSSE, quality, technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Uphold the highest safety and environmental standards throughout project design and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, codes, and industry standards.
  • Approve and oversee contractor quality assurance and control plans.
  • Implement and maintain robust project controls and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular, detailed project progress reports to senior management and board members.
  • Manage interfaces with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations) and external parties (e.g., contractors, authorities, utilities).
  • Identify and mitigate project risks related to technical integrity, cost, schedule, and reputation.
  • Develop and manage resource plans for project execution, including recruitment and demobilization.
  • Lead and coordinate the Owner's project management team.
  • Foster a high-performance team culture through leadership, coaching, and development.
  • Promote a collaborative and transparent working environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in project and construction management, with a minimum of 5 years as a project manager for large-scale projects (>$250 million), preferably in Oil & Gas.
  • Proven commitment to HSSE excellence.
  • Experience with LNG or cryogenic systems is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting project targets.
  • Proficient in project planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and risk management.
  • Broad understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines with the ability to resolve cross-functional conflicts.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with change management processes and their impact on technical integrity.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience leading multicultural teams.
