About the Role
The Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the Development and Construction Management department. This individual will help drive daily operations, manage complex entitlement and infrastructure projects, and contribute to the company's long-term success.
The ideal candidate excels in leadership, communication, and project execution, and has a strong background in entitlement processes, CEQA documentation, and navigating municipal requirements.
This is an in-office position based in Irvine, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate project scopes and budgets
- Manage schedules to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget
- Provide regular project updates to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Anticipate and prepare change orders and contract amendments
- Identify and communicate project risks
- Manage subcontractors and vendors
- Apply creative problem-solving to navigate project complexities
- Maintain excellent relationships with team members, vendors, and clients
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff
- Model company core values in all professional interactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
- Deep understanding of entitlement and post-entitlement processes
- Experience leading complex projects such as Specific Plans, General Plan Amendments, and major infrastructure work
- Familiarity with CEQA, including Environmental Impact Reports
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with project tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or Bluebeam (preferred)
- Ability to read technical reports, construction and design drawings, and municipal codes
- Construction permitting experience (preferred)
- Passion for learning and contributing to all stages of development and construction
