Sales Director
Position Summary
The Sales Director will drive commercial expansion across Southeast Asia, overseeing strategic accounts and long‑cycle capital equipment projects in mission‑critical environments. This role requires disciplined territory leadership, strong expertise in specification‑based selling, and the ability to engage engineering consultants, EPC firms, facility operators, and C‑level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Growth & Territory Leadership
- Own the Southeast Asia sales pipeline and annual booking targets
- Develop structured territory and key‑account plans
- Drive opportunity creation from specification through contract award
- Lead long‑cycle capital equipment sales processes
2. Strategic Account & Channel Development
- Build relationships with industrial parks, hospitals, AIDC/logistics operators, utilities, and commercial estates
- Engage EPC contractors, M&E consultants, and system integrators
- Identify and develop channel partners or dealer networks
- Grow presence in sectors with high‑reliability standby or prime‑power needs
3. Tender Management & Technical Sales Execution
- Lead tender responses, clarifications, and submission processes
- Interpret SLDs, load profiles, and redundancy configurations
- Communicate lifecycle value, reliability performance, and total cost of ownership
- Support contract negotiation and commercial structuring
4. Regulatory, Market & Operational Coordination
- Understand regional permitting, safety, and interconnection requirements
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and infrastructure stakeholders
- Maintain rigorous CRM updates, forecasting accuracy, and reporting discipline
Qualifications
- 8-12+ years in power generation equipment sales, distributed energy, or mission‑critical infrastructure
- Proven success selling generator sets (diesel/gas), turbines, microgrids, or similar power systems
- Strong track record in specification‑based capital equipment sales via EPCs and consultants
- Established relationships across industrial, healthcare, data centre, and commercial sectors in Southeast Asia
- Experience leading multi‑million‑dollar tenders and long‑cycle procurement
- Understanding of redundancy architectures, uptime standards, and mission‑critical power systems
- Knowledge of electrical integration, power system design, and commissioning
- Familiarity with service contracts and aftermarket revenue models is beneficial
- Strong CRM usage and territory planning discipline
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Systems, Business, or related field
