A well-established, employee-owned engineering firm with over 40 years of experience is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead and grow its Miami office. Known for delivering high-end, sophisticated structural and restoration solutions, the firm maintains a strong presence across multiple states and sectors.

The ideal candidate will be a technically strong, business-savvy leader with deep knowledge of the Miami market. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to drive business development, expand client relationships, and help double the office's revenue over the next few years.

This is a unique opportunity for a local market expert to step into a leadership role with a clear path to influence and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts and cultivate new client relationships in the Miami region.
  • Oversee project delivery and mentor a team of structural engineers and inspectors.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the strategic direction of the Florida office.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings.
  • Drive growth across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or eligible to obtain.
  • 7+ years of structural engineering experience, including leadership and client-facing roles.
  • Strong understanding of the Miami construction market.
  • Proven ability to win work and lead project teams.
  • Experience with restoration, parking structures, and high-rise buildings is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative leadership style.
  • A book of business is a strong plus and will be considered for direct entry at the Principal level.
