Senior Automation/Control Engineer
Position Overview
A growing engineering team is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer with strong Rockwell controls expertise. This role centers on designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions built around Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) commonly used in industrial manufacturing settings. The position is primarily remote with periodic travel.
Core Requirements
Candidates must:
- Have hands‑on experience with Rockwell Automation PLC platforms.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
- Be effective working independently in a home‑office environment.
- Be comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
- Be willing to travel within the U.S. (up to approximately 25%).
- Pass standard background and drug screenings.
- Maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Be authorized to work in, and physically located within, the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional consideration will be given to applicants who:
- Have familiarity with Rockwell FTView SE, Batch, and PhaseManager.
- Have experience with Ignition, InTouch, or other HMI/SCADA platforms.
- Reside within reasonable driving distance of a major airport.
- Are located in the eastern region of the United States.
- Possess experience with various other control system platforms.
- Understand automation and controls requirements within GMP‑regulated industries.
- Hold a valid U.S. passport.
- Are bilingual, especially in Spanish.
