Senior Civil/Aviation Engineer
A rapidly expanding aviation-focused engineering group is seeking a Civil Engineer with approximately 5-15 years of experience in civil infrastructure or aviation‑related design. This role will support a wide range of airfield and site development projects, including planning, design, and technical oversight.
About the Role
The selected engineer will contribute to projects involving airfield layouts, site grading, stormwater systems, pavement design, lighting layouts, utility coordination, and general aviation‑related civil infrastructure. Project scopes may range from early‑stage planning through design and construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering tasks across airfield and civil site projects, including planning, layout development, and design production
- Participate in or lead construction‑phase activities such as submittal review, field coordination, progress monitoring, and resolving technical issues
- Evaluate existing conditions and assist with studies, assessments, and improvement recommendations
- Apply relevant industry guidelines and standards for aviation‑related infrastructure
- Grow into a role that includes design leadership, task management, and potential project management
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or the ability to obtain one within 12 months
- Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for civil or airfield design
- Familiarity with aviation‑related design standards is beneficial but not required
