Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to impactful projects across commercial, institutional, and mission-critical sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of electrical plans and specifications for building projects in collaboration with a team of experienced designers.
- Serve as a technical leader and design manager across multiple concurrent design projects.
- Develop and maintain project design schedules.
- Coordinate design activities across multiple disciplines.
- Conduct site surveys using standard surveying tools and electrical safety equipment.
- Prepare site analysis reports evaluating project feasibility and identifying potential construction challenges.
- Produce comprehensive project documentation, including equipment layouts, site plans, one-line diagrams, grounding and lighting plans, fire alarm systems, installation details, schematics, and construction specifications.
- Provide construction administration support to contractors.
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities.
- Conduct photometric studies.
- Model electrical systems using industry-standard IEEE-compliant tools.
- Specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, panelboards, protective devices, conductors, motors, and variable frequency drives.
- Design and analyze normal and emergency power distribution systems, life safety systems, and lighting/control systems.
- Collaborate with project teams across plumbing, mechanical, architectural, structural, and telecommunications disciplines.
- Mentor and support junior design staff.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design for commercial, healthcare, mission-critical, advanced manufacturing, or institutional facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams on complex projects.
- Strong client and contractor relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems, especially Revit MEP, is preferred.
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with related disciplines such as mechanical, plumbing, and architectural systems.
- Expertise in lighting and lighting control systems.
- Experience with fire alarm system design and knowledge of NFPA standards is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of grounding and lightning protection systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard business software.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to meet client-specific security or access requirements.
- Capable of setting and achieving goals aligned with project and departmental priorities.
