Senior Environmental Scientist
We are seeking an Environmental Scientist with 5-8 years of experience to support a range of site assessment and remediation projects. This individual will play a key role in executing fieldwork, preparing technical reports, and supporting project delivery across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Phase II Environmental Site Assessments including soil and subsurface characterization
- Prepare technical reports including Phase II investigations, UST/LUST documentation, and site remediation program deliverables
- Provide construction and field oversight for environmental projects
- Document field activities including notes, logs, photographs, and figures
- Interpret and apply state voluntary cleanup programs and leaking underground storage tank (LUST) regulations
- Communicate project status, schedules, findings, and recommendations to project teams and senior staff
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to support project execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams as needed
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in environmental consulting or related field
- Strong experience with Phase II ESAs and site investigation/remediation projects
- Proven technical writing and reporting skills
- Working knowledge of state regulatory programs (VCP, LUST, etc.)
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel locally for fieldwork and project oversight
- Occasional out-of-state travel may be required
