Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Hydropower & Dams
Seattle, WA or Portland, OR | Hybrid (1 day/week in office)
We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Pacific Northwest team. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role supporting hydropower, dam safety, and major water infrastructure projects.
We're looking for an experienced geotechnical professional (10+ years) with the ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, strengthen client relationships, and help shape the future of our geotechnical practice in the region.
What You'll Do
- Lead geotechnical efforts for hydropower, dam safety, and underground works projects.
- Guide and mentor junior staff, supporting their technical and professional growth.
- Oversee technical work including analyses, investigations, and geotechnical design.
- Serve as a client-facing technical lead with utilities, agencies, and private owners.
- Contribute to business development activities and strategic planning.
- Work in a flexible hybrid model: in-person only once per week.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Background in hydropower, dams, tunnels, or major water infrastructure
- Leadership and mentorship experience
- Strong client communication and project delivery skills
- PE license (or ability to acquire in WA/OR)
