We are partnering with a growing geoscience and geotechnical consultancy that is continuing to build momentum off the back of a strong pipeline of offshore projects. With sustained demand across offshore wind and oil and gas, they are looking to appoint a Senior Marine Geoscientist to strengthen their technical capability in Perth.

This is a key hire for the business and will suit someone with a strong offshore background who enjoys working across complex site characterisation, ground modelling, and geohazard assessment.

The Role

You will play a central role in delivering offshore geoscience projects, with a focus on supporting engineering design and development across energy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpretation of geophysical and geotechnical data to support offshore developments
  • Development of ground models integrating geological, geophysical, and geotechnical datasets
  • Lead and contribute to site characterisation studies for offshore wind and oil and gas projects
  • Conduct and support geohazard assessments relating to seabed stability, slope failure, sediment mobility and subsurface risks
  • Preparation of high-quality technical reports and deliverables for clients
  • Support project execution, including survey scope development, data review and technical input
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers and project stakeholders

The role will involve both office-based technical work and exposure to offshore project environments where required.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Marine Geoscientist / Marine Geologist / Geophysicist within offshore consulting
  • Strong background in offshore site investigation and ground model development
  • Experience working on offshore wind and/or oil & gas projects
  • Solid understanding of marine geohazards and their impact on offshore infrastructure
  • Strong technical reporting and data interpretation skills
  • Comfortable working in a client-facing, project-driven environment

Candidates from adjacent backgrounds such as mining or tailings will be considered where there is relevant transferable offshore or geotechnical experience.
