Senior Project Manager - H&H
A nationally recognized civil engineering firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) projects from its Houston office. This is a strategic leadership role for a licensed PE who thrives at the intersection of technical excellence, client engagement, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of complex H&H projects including floodplain mapping, watershed studies, stormwater master planning, and drainage infrastructure design
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget across municipal, state, and private sector clients
Oversee technical modeling and analysis using HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, ICM, and GIS-based tools
Serve as a client-facing leader, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
Drive business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in interviews and presentations
Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture
Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives within the Houston office and broader Texas market
Qualifications
PE license in Texas
10+ years of progressive experience in water resources or civil engineering with a focus on H&H
Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering successful projects
Strong technical proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, GIS, and Civil 3D
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights
Demonstrated experience in business development, including proposal writing and client engagement
