Job Opportunity: Senior Civil Project Manager - Site Development
Location: Milwaukee, WI
A well-established and growing civil engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Project Manager to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of site development and municipal infrastructure projects. This is a leadership role within a dynamic team, offering the opportunity to shape project outcomes, mentor staff, and contribute to business development efforts.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will oversee civil site development projects including new developments and redevelopment efforts. Project scopes typically include grading design, stormwater management, sanitary and storm sewer evaluation and rehabilitation, domestic water distribution, low-impact development, and green infrastructure design.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams on civil infrastructure projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities in collaboration with leadership.
- Support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Assist with proposal development, including team coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and technical approach.
- Maintain and grow client relationships in areas of expertise.
- Provide engineering services during construction, including inspection and contract administration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Wisconsin.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
- Proven experience with both public and private sector clients.
- Expertise in site planning, roadway and parking lot design, stormwater management and permitting, hydraulic/hydrologic modelling, grading, water systems, and sewer conveyance.
- Strong background in engineering design, construction oversight, and contract administration.
- Demonstrated success in marketing and business development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with the ability to lead design teams and troubleshoot CAD-related issues.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
