As part of its continued expansion, the organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the growth of its Rainscreen Cladding Division in New York City, helping lead sophisticated exterior cladding and enclosure projects throughout the region.
Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager - Rainscreen Division is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of rainscreen cladding projects across the NYC Metro region.
This senior-level role acts as the primary liaison between General Contractors (GCs) and internal operations teams. The Senior PM leads project delivery, ensures technical compliance, manages financial performance, and supports additional restoration-related scopes when required.
This is a leadership position requiring strong enclosure experience, client-facing communication, and an ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & GC Relationship Management
Serve as the senior, client‑facing contact for GCs, owners, consultants, and internal leadership.
Lead project meetings and coordinate major project decisions.
Maintain strong relationships with GC partners and oversee issue resolution.
Represent the company professionally in all communications and negotiations.
- Rainscreen Cladding Management
Oversee full lifecycle of rainscreen cladding projects including:
estimating support
preconstruction planning
submittals and shop drawings
procurement and fabrication scheduling
installation sequencing
Ensure all assemblies meet design requirements, specifications, and performance criteria.
Collaborate with engineering teams on system detailing, thermal performance, and attachment strategies.
- Financial & Contract Oversight
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
Review, approve, and negotiate change orders.
Track subcontractor performance, material costs, and labor productivity.
Ensure accurate billing aligned with project progress.
Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Field Operations Management
Coordinate closely with field supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain schedule alignment.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
Support resolution of field issues requiring communication with GCs or designers.
Ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Restoration Project Support
Provide leadership and coordination on adjacent façade restoration scopes when assigned, including:
masonry repair
waterproofing
sealant systems
concrete or façade restoration
Align multiple scopes to streamline execution when they overlap with rainscreen work.
- Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate reporting, including dashboards, schedules, daily logs, and executive summaries.
Oversee RFIs, submittals, change events, punch lists, and closeout documentation.
Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate recordkeeping throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required
7-10+ years of construction management experience.
Strong background in exterior envelope systems, rainscreen cladding, or façade restoration.
Experience managing multi‑million‑dollar GC‑facing projects in the NYC Metro market.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering documents.
Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Preferred
Previous experience with specialty contractors or enclosure trades.
Knowledge of NYC building code, façade performance standards, and enclosure detailing.
Industry certifications (PMP, CCM, RRO, etc.).
