About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer with direct experience in the mining industry to join our team in Perth. This role will play a key part in delivering complex water resource projects across national mining, resources, and industrial sectors. You will be responsible for leading technical assessments, developing water management strategies, and engaging with stakeholders to deliver sustainable and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water resources projects across mining and industrial sectors nationally.
  • Develop and implement water balance models, hydrological assessments, and hydraulic designs.
  • Conduct surface water and groundwater modelling using industry-standard software.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and clients to ensure compliance and alignment with project goals.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water resources engineering, with a strong focus on mining projects.
  • Proven expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modelling, water balance assessments, and water management planning.
  • Proficiency in Goldsim, TUFLOW, or HEC-RAS is highly regarded.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
