Senior Water Resources Engineer

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join their team in Miami, Tampa or Orlando. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex water infrastructure projects, contribute to sustainable solutions, and mentor the next generation of engineering professionals.

This position is ideal for an experienced and licensed engineer who is passionate about water resource management and is looking to take on a leadership role in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Apply hydraulic, hydrologic, or hydrogeologic modeling systems to support the planning and design of infrastructure such as pipelines, open channels, pump stations, channel stabilization measures, rapid infiltration systems, storage and treatment facilities, wellfields, and other natural or engineered systems.
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, prepare technical reports, and contribute to activities that support the planning, design, and integration of water supply and water management facilities.
  • Demonstrate understanding and application of water supply planning, demand management, alternatives analysis, and feasibility studies for water supply projects ranging from small-scale to moderately complex.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and scientists to support project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Over 12 years of experience delivering water resources projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Proven track record in managing and designing medium- to large-scale projects, with full accountability for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
  • Skilled in evaluating team performance and project outcomes, with the ability to recommend strategic changes to meet objectives.
  • Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and sound engineering judgement in addressing complex and novel technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality services within defined budget and schedule constraints.
  • Effective team collaborator with a proactive and cooperative approach.
  • Comfortable and proficient in public speaking roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
