Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join there ever growing Water/Wastewater team in Baton Rouge. This role involves leading technical and design efforts for water infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection/pumping systems. With a multi-year backlog of work, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage water/wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
- Provide technical oversight and QA/QC for design deliverables.
- Supervise and mentor engineering support staff.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Conduct engineering evaluations, prepare reports, and oversee design calculations.
- Produce design drawings, technical specifications, and permit submittals.
- Monitor project performance and profitability.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal permitting requirements.
- Represent the firm in client meetings and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Louisiana Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6-12 months.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design and project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field visits.
