About the Role:
As a Staff Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of projects including infrastructure, commercial development, and environmental remediation. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and geologists, contributing to field investigations, laboratory testing, engineering analysis, and report preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and logging.
- Perform laboratory testing and interpret soil and rock properties.
- Analyze data and prepare geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations.
- Support senior staff in the design and evaluation of foundations, retaining structures, and slope stability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and construction professionals.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 2-5 years of relevant geotechnical experience.
- EIT certification required; PE license or ability to obtain within 1-2 years is a plus.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, LPILE, SLOPE/W, PLAXIS) is desirable.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for fieldwork.
