The Opportunity
As a Structural Project Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of complex building structures across sectors such as commercial, institutional, aviation, healthcare, and mission‑critical facilities. This position blends hands-on technical leadership with client engagement, team management, and project oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document medium to large-scale structural building projects
- Lead and manage structural design teams in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders
- Oversee full project delivery, including calculations, documentation, and structural stamping
- Perform and review structural analysis using hand calculations and advanced modeling tools
- Coordinate detailing, material selection, and multidisciplinary integration
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and prepare technical reports
- Serve as a technical point of contact for clients and support long-term relationship development
- Support business development initiatives, proposals, and client pursuits
- Participate in peer reviews, internal training, and continuous improvement efforts
- Monitor project financial performance and billing coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis required); Master's preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
- 6+ years of relevant structural engineering experience with increasing responsibility
- Strong technical background in concrete, steel, masonry, and wood design
- Proficiency in RAM Structural System or Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, and BIM 360
- Advanced understanding of current structural codes and standards
- Demonstrated leadership and project management capability
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
