About the Role
A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Project Manager to join its team in Philadelphia, PA. This leadership role involves managing a variety of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and timely, budget-conscious delivery. You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Engineering Oversight: Guide structural analysis and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor engineers and technical staff, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections, review deliverables, and uphold industry standards.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact, manage expectations, and identify future opportunities.
- Risk & Financial Management: Monitor budgets, manage risks, and ensure timely billing and collections.
- Business Development: Support proposal development and represent the firm at industry events (up to 20% of time).
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited; Master's a plus)
- 7-10+ years of experience in structural or land development engineering
- PE license (required)
- Proven experience managing engineering projects and leading teams
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- NCEES Record (preferred)
