Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Compensation: $110,000-$160,000 Base (DOE) + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

I'm currently working with a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm that is looking to add a Structural Engineer to its growing team in Phoenix, AZ.

This is an excellent opportunity for a structural engineer who enjoys working on complex infrastructure, industrial, and water-related projects. The role offers exposure to large-scale facilities, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a clear path for technical and professional growth.

The Opportunity

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of structural systems for industrial and treatment facility projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to develop practical, innovative solutions from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage structural engineering scope, schedule, and budget for project delivery
  • Prepare structural calculations, plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Perform quality reviews of structural designs and coordinate resolutions
  • Develop engineering fee estimates and project schedules
  • Conduct site assessments and evaluations of existing structures
  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams
  • Support construction activities through field observations and technical guidance
  • Develop opinions of probable construction costs
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to design staff
  • Assist CAD technicians and designers with structural detailing and drawing development
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of structural standards and specifications
  • Travel to project sites as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
  • 6-12 years of structural engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong understanding of structural design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards
  • Experience producing construction drawings and specifications
  • Proven project delivery and project management capabilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license
  • Experience with water, wastewater, industrial, treatment plant, or heavy infrastructure projects
