Our client is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to contribute to complex structural design work and help deliver efficient, well‑coordinated solutions across the region.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other transportation structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agency standards.
- Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, structural models, and detailed plan sheets for a variety of bridge and structural components.
- Support structure‑type studies, feasibility evaluations, and design alternatives for state and local transportation agencies.
- Assist senior engineers with design development, technical documentation, and coordination of project deliverables.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of drawings, calculations, and design packages to maintain high internal quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in bridge and transportation structure design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Missouri required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience preparing studies, reports, and plan sets for DOTs, municipalities, or other transportation agencies.
- Proficiency with structural engineering software such as OpenBridge/LEAP, MDX, LPILE, MIDAS, LARSA, LUSAS, spColumn, or similar programs.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to work independently on design tasks and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
