Traffic EIT
A multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Traffic / Transportation Engineer to join its collaborative team in Houston, Dallas, or Austin, TX. This role involves contributing to a variety of traffic and transportation planning projects across diverse market sectors including sports, healthcare, education, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support traffic and transportation planning and permitting efforts.
- Conduct traffic impact and parking studies, including data collection and analysis.
- Perform preliminary traffic reviews to identify critical issues during early project stages.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for traffic and parking studies.
- Utilize engineering software such as SYNCHRO and HCS for traffic analysis and design.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate and perform field services as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in traffic engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- EIT certification required; PE licensure or ability to obtain is preferred.
- Proficiency in SYNCHRO, HCS, and familiarity with MUTCD standards.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
