Position Overview
In this role, you will lead assigned electrical projects from early planning through turnover. Success in this position requires strong coordination skills, technical understanding, financial awareness, and the ability to develop strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight on assigned projects in partnership with the project superintendent
- Review contractual scope and develop project plans, staffing needs, and key milestones
- Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards
- Maintain communication with clients, design partners, general contractors, and subcontractors
- Prepare, negotiate, and issue subcontracts
- Oversee daily field operations through on‑site leadership
- Develop and maintain project schedules, progress reports, and variance tracking
- Manage project financials, including cost control, billing, collections, and cash flow
- Assess risks and implement corrective measures when required
- Identify and secure additional work through change orders
- Ensure project documentation and controls align with contract requirements and company standards
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients and partners
- Mentor assistant project managers and junior staff as needed
- Support additional project‑related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, construction science, or equivalent experience/training
- OSHA‑30 certification (or ability to obtain within six months)
- 5-10 years of experience in construction project management, design, and financial oversight
- Strong understanding of construction industry standards, processes, and best practices
Demonstrated skills in:
- Documentation and reporting
- Cost control and financial management
- Procurement and subcontractor coordination
- Scheduling and project planning
- Change order pricing and negotiation
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software systems
- Ability to apply effective management techniques to maximize team performance
- Must meet all jobsite‑specific access requirements with no restrictions related to partnering contractors, owners, or clients
