Bridge Engineer III
Role Overview
In this position, you'll play a key role on a structural engineering team supporting transportation‑related bridge and infrastructure projects. Your work will span across a wide range of civil and structural elements, contributing to both design and project delivery for public‑sector clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver structural design support for transportation‑oriented bridge projects.
- Design structural and civil components including bridges, retaining walls, seawalls, roadways, underground utilities, and various infrastructure improvements.
- Assist senior technical staff with proposal writing and developing project approaches.
- Provide general civil engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies.
- Prepare engineering plans and specifications in alignment with state DOT standards.
- Support the processing and delivery of federally funded capital projects.
- Collaborate closely with project engineers and managers, making informed technical decisions across multiple stages of project development.
Education & Licensing Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering coursework.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 5 years of experience on municipal or transportation‑focused bridge projects.
- Ability to travel within the regional service area as needed.
- Strong self‑management skills with the ability to independently handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and computer skills.
