Project Manager (Civil Engineering) - Madison, WI

A well-established, employee-owned engineering consultancy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Manager to join their team in Madison, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and experience with grading and utility design using Civil 3D. This role involves working closely with a Professional Engineer (PE) to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and design civil engineering projects
  • Perform grading and utility design using Civil 3D software
  • Collaborate with the Site Design team to develop project plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in stormwater modeling and site civil design preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; ICPR experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of grading and utility design principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated to learn and grow within a professional engineering environment
  • Experience with single-family and multi-family residential design preferred
  • Background in site design and land development projects
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal engineering standards and regulations
  • Prior internship or professional experience in civil engineering
