Civil Engineering Director
Overview
We're partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary design and engineering firm looking to bring on a Civil Engineering Manager to lead and grow their presence in the New York City market.
This is a senior leadership role focused on building out a civil/site team, driving revenue growth, and overseeing project delivery across a range of land development projects including commercial, mixed-use, and institutional work.
You'll play a key role in shaping the local business, managing client relationships, and leading both the operational and financial performance of the group.
This position is based in NYC with a hybrid work setup.
Compensation: $175,000 - $215,000 + bonus potential.
Your role
- Lead and grow a civil engineering team within the NYC market
- Oversee project execution, including select hands-on project management responsibilities
- Manage financial performance, including revenue tracking and forecasting
- Drive business development efforts and secure new projects
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Represent the firm at client meetings, hearings, and industry events
- Oversee team operations, staffing, and hiring
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
Qualifications
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development
- Experience operating at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, with leadership exposure
- Strong track record in client development and relationship management
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
