Electrical Designer - Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about delivering high-quality construction documentation and design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of architectural, structural, and MEP projects from initial concept through final construction documentation.
  • Utilize Revit and other BIM tools to create, manage, and refine detailed 3D models, ensuring accuracy and constructability throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and external consultants to coordinate design efforts and integrate multidisciplinary inputs.
  • Develop comprehensive construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct clash detection and constructability reviews using tools such as Navisworks, ensuring seamless integration across disciplines.
  • Generate and maintain schedules, material take-offs, and specifications, supporting project planning and cost estimation.
  • Prepare high-quality graphic presentations and 3D visualizations to effectively communicate design intent to stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain Revit families, including complex modeled-in-place components, and oversee Revit administration tasks to ensure model integrity and performance.
  • Support project management activities using tools like Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical design, with a focus on architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
  • Proven expertise in Revit, including advanced modeling techniques and family creation.
  • Proficiency in Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with project management and presentation software tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation standards and building systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
