About the Role
This role is designed for an experienced Electrical Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will serve as the technical authority across all utility-scale renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will lead electrical design strategy, ensure compliance with industry standards and utility requirements, and drive optimization across the portfolio.
You'll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to guide electrical engineering decisions from early-stage development through construction and operations. This is a high-impact role that supports the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets, with a focus on technical excellence, constructability, and long-term performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the electrical engineering SME across all solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), and hybrid projects.
- Lead electrical system design reviews and provide technical guidance on DC/AC ratios, inverter configurations, MV/HV layouts, and POI strategies.
- Oversee and interpret electrical studies including reactive power, ampacity, grounding, and protection coordination.
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, utility interconnection requirements, and internal standards.
- Collaborate with development, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical challenges and support project execution.
- Evaluate electrical equipment specifications and vendor proposals for technical compliance and performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and lessons learned across the engineering portfolio.
