Position Overview
Seeking a Heavy Civil Superintendent with marine construction expertise to lead field operations on complex waterfront projects. This is a leadership role requiring hands-on experience with sheet pile installation, concrete bridge work, and marine structures. You will be the driving force behind project execution, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise all on-site activities for marine and heavy civil projects.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Oversee installation of sheet piles (mandatory), pilings, marinas, seawalls, and concrete bridges.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor progress, prepare daily reports, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years as a Superintendent in heavy civil and marine construction.
- Proven experience with:
- Sheet pile installation
- Concrete bridge construction
- Pilings, marinas, and seawalls
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Florida marine regulations and permitting processes.
- Proficiency in scheduling and project management tools (Primavera, MS Project preferred).
