A leading engineering consultancy firm is on the lookout for skilled Land Surveyors ready to make their mark on large infrastructure projects across New York & Jersey. From highways and bridges to transit systems and public works, this role offers the chance to be at the forefront of development. The skilled Surveyor will be working on complex infrastructure projects that demand precise measurements, clear documentation, and a deep understanding of land conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a survey crew in the field.
- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
- Operate and maintain survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
- Ensure the accuracy and precision of survey data.
- Prepare and review field notes, sketches, and reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior surveyors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in using survey equipment and software.
- Strong understanding of survey principles, methods, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
