Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead large-scale mission critical data center construction projects across the Midwest. This is a traveling role ideal for a hands-on builder and strategic leader who thrives in high-pressure environments and is passionate about delivering complex electrical systems for hyperscale clients.
You'll oversee all phases of electrical construction-from pre-construction through commissioning-ensuring safety, quality, and profitability while managing multiple job sites and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical scopes of mission critical data center builds from planning through close-out.
- Manage budgets, schedules, manpower, and subcontractors across multiple Midwest sites.
- Travel to project locations as needed, ensuring consistent execution and client satisfaction.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams of engineers, field staff, and junior PMs.
- Coordinate closely with hyperscale clients, general contractors, and trade partners.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, NEC codes, and mission critical specifications.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
- Manage change orders and scope adjustments with precision and financial accountability.
- Provide financial oversight including cost tracking, forecasting, and margin protection.
- Contribute to operational improvements and long-term planning across the division.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 7+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
- 3+ years managing data center or mission critical projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills across multiple job sites.
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules and budgets.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, etc.).
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Midwest.
