Project Environmental Engineer/Geologist

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Environmental Engineer or Geologist to join their remediation team in Southern California. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of environmental site assessment, remediation, and compliance projects for public and private sector clients.

Location: Los Angeles or Irvine (hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support environmental site investigations (Phase I/II ESAs), remediation, and monitoring projects
  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling and oversee field activities
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals in compliance with DTSC, RWQCB, and other local/state agencies
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies
  • Analyze environmental data and contribute to risk assessments and remediation strategies
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with health and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 4-8 years of relevant environmental consulting experience
  • Professional registration (PE or PG) or on track to obtain is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of California environmental regulations (e.g., DTSC, RWQCB, CEQA)
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for fieldwork
