Project Executive - Commercial Solar EPC

A leading commercial solar EPC is seeking a Project Executive to provide senior execution leadership across a portfolio of complex solar projects. This is a portfolio-level role focused on delivery performance, financial oversight, client escalation, and development of senior project leaders.
You'll partner closely with Operations leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with financial and customer commitments-while setting consistent execution standards across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight across multiple commercial solar projects, ensuring consistency in schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
- Act as the primary escalation point for Senior Project Managers on complex execution and delivery challenges.
- Own portfolio-level financial performance, including forecasting, cost-to-complete, and margin predictability.
- Support contract administration, change management, and claims strategy.
- Serve as senior execution sponsor for key clients, leading executive-level conversations during escalations or recovery efforts.
- Directly manage and mentor Senior Project Managers; set clear expectations around accountability and execution excellence.
- Drive consistent application of EPC execution standards, QA/QC, reporting, and risk management.
- Identify systemic risks or trends and escalate appropriately to Operations leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Proven leader with strong presence and experience guiding senior project teams.
- Deep background in solar EPC or large-scale construction execution.
- Strong financial acumen and comfort owning portfolio-level performance.
- Confident communicator with experience leading high-stakes client conversations.
- Ability to balance autonomy with alignment to executive leadership.
Background
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
- 7+ years in solar EPC or large-scale construction.
- Experience managing Senior Project Managers or equivalent roles.
- PMP or equivalent executive project leadership experience.
- NABCEP strongly preferred; electrical or engineering background a plus.
