Job Title: Construction Administrator
Location: Raleigh, NC AND Charlotte, NC
Salary: $110k - $115k
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead construction administration for multiple large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, codes, and regulations.
- Field Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications. Identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with contractors and design teams.
- Documentation: Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders. Maintain accurate and thorough project records.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the client, contractor, consultants, and internal teams during the construction phase.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control standards and ensure that construction meets or exceeds design and performance expectations.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and contribute to the development of best practices within the firm.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 15-25 years of progressive experience in construction administration, preferably with a design or architecture firm.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Newforma) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Architectural license or certification (RA, PE, or CCM) preferred but not required.
- LEED accreditation or familiarity with sustainable building practices is a plus.
